You see? We're kinda alike!
You ease
your pain, reading about it.
I
ease mine, writing about it.
You
see? We're kinda alike!
You
look for an escape, from the things you couldn't do, the memories that hurt you
and the people that left you, in the characters that you invest yourself,
reading about.
I
vent out myself in the moments that I create – the ones I'll never have – in my
stories. I express myself in a way that I never really could, through the
characters that I create.
You see? We're kinda alike!
You
find solace in those lyrics of your favourite song, 'cz they feel like they're
so you!! It makes you feel not alone – like someone, somewhere felt the same!
Believe
me, I know. I know 'cz I express myself with things I couldn't otherwise have
said, in the songs I write, hoping that
someday, somebody will finally realise what I felt!
You see? We're kinda alike!
When
you've just had it enough, you just numb things out, over a bottle of that
favourite gin of yours, right? That gives you an escape –even momentarily –
from what things are for you in that moment. You escape to a different world
altogether!
Well,
I escape from being me, by throwing away myself in those words that rhyme, and
hope they find their recipients well. And yes, in those moments, I too am in a
different world!
You see? We're kinda alike!
Well,
even if you don't, it doesn't matter much... It doesn't matter 'cz we're like
two rivers running parallel to each other, very much alike but with a different
flow and destined to meet – NEVER!
So,
I just hope that someday, somewhere, you'll relate with a situation I imagined,
a character that I created, a story that I told or a song that I wrote. And I
hope you relate so well, that it feels like I was watching you, and was there
with you the whole time.
'Cz
then I will have met you, in a very unique yet purely surreal way and it'd be
the utmost bliss. And then, in that very moment, I will have found my peace...
'Cz you see? We're kinda alike....!

You read what I felt. I wrote because I thought someone, somewhere felt the same way.
So if you could connect with what you read, let's talk! Drop in a comment with your name and I'll respond :) :)
